Represent the following numbers in scientific notation.

(11000)3 (0.003)2 ÷ (30000)

(11000)3 (0.003)2( 30000)

Explanation: In scientific notation,

11000 = (1.1)×(10)4

0.003 = (3.0)×(10) - 3

30000 = (3.0)×(10)5

∴ (11000)3 (0.003)2( 30000)

⇒

1.331×106×3×10 - 5

= 3.993×101

∴ (11000)3 (0.003)2 ÷ (3000) in scientific notation is 3.993×101
