The total surface area of a cylinder is 6512cm sq. and the circumference of its base is 88 cm. Find the volume of the cylinder.

Given,


Total surface area of cylinder = 6512 cm2


Circumference of the base = 88 cm.


The circumference of base = 2r


⇒ 2r = 88


⇒ r = 14


Also,


TSA of cylinder = 2r(r+h)


⇒ 2r(r + h) = 6512


⇒ (14 + h) = 74


⇒ h = 60




= 36960


So, volume of cylinder is 36960cm2
