Given,


Dimensions of the log


Length (L) = 8m = 800 cm


Breadth (B) = 5m = 500 cm


Height (H) = 80 cm


Dimensions of block


Edge (a) =20 cm


The volume of log = L × B × H


= 800 × 500 × 80


= 32000000 cm3


Volume of block = a3


= 203


= 8000 cm3


Number of block can be cut from log



= 4000


So, 4000 blocks can be cut from log
