Why the dropping of Atom bombs on Japan by the US towards the end of Second World War widely criticized?

NIEO is the New International Economic Order was a set of proposals put forward in the UNCTAD- United Nations Conference on Trade And Development, by the developing countries. The developing countries felt they are unable to gain any economic benefits like the developed countries. Their main objectives were to promote the trade, improve terms of trade, reduction of tariffs and proper assistance to the developing countries.

NIEO must be established to develop the least developed countries and help them come out of poverty.

The dropping of atom bombs on Japan by the US towards the end of the Second World War was widely criticized because Japan had already surrendered. It had no army, no allies and thus, was defeated. Hence, the dropping of atom bombs was not necessary.
