Which two countries of the South Asian region in your opinion have retained their democratic tradition since Independence?

The South Asian countries consists of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This is a culturally and socially diversified region along with linguistic distinctiveness. Although it is rich in diversity, it is one geopolitical space. But all the countries do not follow a similar type of political system.

The two countries of the South Asian region that have retained their democratic tradition since Independence are India and Sri Lanka. Although they are many limitations in their democracy, they have maintained to be a democratic country throughout its existence.

The best measure to improve Indo-Pak ties in the current scenario would be the dedicated and sincere efforts by the leaders of both the countries towards a peaceful atmosphere and a better understanding among the nations.
