Give one reason to justify statutory ban on amniocentesis.

There is a need to provide a statutory ban on amniocentesis because some people tend to use it for wrong purposes such as finding out the sex of the child and aborting it or killing it if it is a girl child. Female foeticide is still prevalent in many parts of India and a ban helps provide some kind of checkpoint.
