a) Klinefelter’s syndrome: Also known as XXY. It results from two or more X chromosome in males.


b) Turner’s syndrome: Results when one of the X chromosomes is missing or partially missing

State what does aneuploidy lead to.


Aneuploidy is the state in which an abnormal number of chromosomes are present in a cell. It leads to individuals with abnormal number of chromosomes. Examples include: Down’s syndrome in which there is an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21.
