Apple is a False fruit while Mango is True fruit.


Fruits that are matured ovaries of flowers are called True fruits, while fruits that develop from other floral parts of plants are called False fruits.


In apple, the thalamus produces the fleshy edible part, thus apple is a false fruit. Mango, on the other hand, develops from the ovary of the flower, thud it is a rue fruit.
