Q3 of 24 Page 1

One must have a clear-cut and realistic goal in life. But simply having a goal is not enough. We must have fire in the belly to achieve it. Write an article in 150 – 200 words on the topic, ‘My Goal and My Plans’. You are Romil/Rekha.

My Goal and My Plans

“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.”

Life is all about making decisions, acting upon them, waiting for the results and then venturing out again. Be it any aspect of life, the above remains true for each case – relationships, habits, work and goals. But only one among these lends a sense of content and pride – the goals in life.

A man who has no goals and no plans for life is no less than a wanderer with nowhere to go. Goals in life lend it direction and sense and help one see their future clearly. Setting a goal lets you believe in yourself, work to your best potential and learn to accept results. Your life gets a meaning and a momentum from the time you start setting goals for yourself. Each time you fail, you know what you are lacking in. Each time you succeed, you know what goal to set next.

Setting goals is the only way one can evolve and grow. However, only setting them isn’t enough. One needs to have the sense of determination, the will to succeed and the urge to perform in order to make any sense out of it. Simply setting goals and not working for them would be something similar to cooking a lot of food and throwing it all away. The key to success is always a combination of goal setting and working hard to achieve them.
