The dominance of Congress party in 1st three general elections had no negative effect because:

a. Elections were held democratically.

b. It also worked along with many other parties, forming a social and ideological coalition.

c. There was a government of CPI in Kerala which was not de-established by Congress even after being in power in Central and winning votes in other states. It shows that Congress worked on Democratic Principles.

Model of mixed economy adopted by India was criticized by the left and the right on the following grounds:

a, They argued that it did not give enough space to the private sector to grow.

b. The government restricted the import of certain goods from foreign markets which could be produced in the domestic market. This made the price of the goods higher as there was no competition. It also did not provide a stimulus for the need to improve any product quality.

c. They argued that the State did not take enough measures for healthcare and education and it also controlled most of the economic spheres which were causing corruption.
