India’s resistance to resisting globalisation came from different quarters.
a. Left wings protested against economic liberalisation.
b. Entry of multinational companies was protested by many forums and trade unions comprising of farmers and work force.
c. Cultural influence of globalization was resisted by banning foreign TV channels.

There were many environmental movements to challenge environmental degradation since last century. Three such environmental movements are:
a. The movement against Western Mining Corporation, an Australia based multi-national company, in Philippines and Australia based on anti-nuclear sentiments and advocacy for basic rights for indigenous people.
b. In 1980s there was anti-dam movement in Northern Australia to save the river Franklin and surrounding forests.
c. Narmada Bachao Andolan in India is another anti dam movement which gained popularity.
