If 2x + 3y = 12 and 3x – 2y = 5 then

We have:

2x + 3y = 12 …(i)


3x – 2y = 5 …(ii)


Now, by multiplying (i) by 2 and (ii) by 3 and then adding them we get:


4x + 9x = 24 + 15


13x = 39



Now putting the value of x in (i), we get


2 × 3 + 3y = 12


∴


Hence, option C is correct
