Q16 of 55 Page 1

Area of a sector of a circle of radius 14 m is 154 cm2. Find the length of the corresponding arc of the sector. [Use π = 22/7]

Given: Radius of the circle = r = 14 cm

Area of a sector = 154 cm2

Now, area of sector in terms of arc length = 1/2 (arc length × radius)

154 = 1/2 (l × 14)

Therefore, l = (154 × 2)/14

= 154/7

= 22

Therefore, Corresponding arc length of the sector = 22 cm
