Solve the following question.

0.16 (5x – 2) = 0.4x + 7


Given equation is,


⇒ 0.16(5x-2) = 0.4x + 7


⇒ 0.8x-0.32 = 0.4x + 7


⇒ 0.8x-0.4x = 7 + 0.32 (moving 0.4x to LHS and – 0.32 to RHS)





⇒ x = 18.3


⇒ Hence value of x is 18.3.
