Q94 of 113 Page 110

The sum of four consecutive integers is 266. What are the integers?

Let the four consecutive integers be x,x + 1,x + 2,x + 3

According to the question

x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 = 266

4x + 6 = 266

4x = 266-6 = 260

x = 65

(divide by 4 on both the sides)

Hence the 4 consecutive integers are 65,65 + 1,65 + 2,65 + 3

= 65,66,67,68
