Fill in the blanks to make the statements true.

Area of a square of side 6 m is equal to the area of _________squares of each side 1 cm.

Let number of squares having side 1 cm = a

According to the question,

Area of side 6 m square = Area of side 1 cm square

[∵ area of square = (side) 2 ]

(6m)2 = a(1cm)2

[∵1m = 100cm]

⇒ (600 cm)2 = a (1 cm)2

⇒ 360000 cm2 = a cm2

⇒ a = 360000
