Find the area enclosed by each of the following figures :

We know that, area of rectangle = l × b


And area of semicircle = × ∏r2


Area of rectangle = 10.2 × 1.5 = 15.3 cm2


Now, Diameter of the semicircle = 10.2 – 3.9 = 6.3 cm


So, radius = = 3.15 cm


Area of semicircle = × × 3.15 × 3.15 = 15.5925 cm2


Total area = Area of rectangle + Area of semicircle = 15.3 + 15.5925 = 30.8925 cm2


∴ Total area = 30.8925 cm2
