How is Himalayas boon for India?

i. The Himalayas are the source of many perennial rivers like Ganga.

ii. Ganga floods the northern plains and makes the soil very fertile which become a major source of livelihood.

iii. They harbour large Glaciers and snowfields which feed rivers like Ganga, Indus.

iv. It blocks ocean currents and controls the weather conditions of India.

v. It is home of many natural and beautiful valleys like Kullu and Kashmir.

vi. It protects India from terrorist attacks from North acting as a barrier which is very difficult to cross.

vii. It has many natural species of flora and fauna.
