What is a dun? Give some examples from the Himalayan region.

Dun is a longitudinal valley between mountains. These are formed due to the folding of mountains. These valleys separate lesser Himalayas or Himachal to Shiwalik. It is found in the states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. It is also known as Doon. Some of the examples of Dun are:
