Himalayan Mountains lie in the north of India which runs from Indus River to Brahmaputra River in a west-east direction. From west to east their regional names are- Punjab Himalayas, Kumaon Himalayas, Nepal Himalayas and Assam Himalayas. From north to south their regional names are- Himadri, Himachal and Shiwalik. Other regional names of the Himalayas such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Manaslu Himal, Rolwaling Himal, Jugal Himal, Gauri Sankar Himal, Kanjirowa Himal, Khumbu Himal, Dhaulagiri Himal, Purvanchal Himalayas etc.
