India has a strategic location from the point of view of trade routes.

i. It is centrally located between East and West Asia.

ii. The Indian Ocean connects India with the Africa and Gulf countries which provide India oil.

iii. It is also a centre between Africa and other East Asian countries which increases its importance in trade of Asia.
