Why are some seeds referred to as apomictic seeds ? Mention one advantage and one disadvantage to a farmer who uses them.

Apomictic seeds are the seeds that develop without fertilisation or pollination.

They develop from the somatic cells of the ovule and are identical to the parent plant.
