(b) Ozone is formed by the action of UV rays on the molecular oxygen.


CFCs are discharged and reach stratosphere. In stratosphere the CFCs react with the UV rays and forms Cl atoms, i.e., Chlorine atoms. The chlorine degrades ozone and forms oxygen.


In this way CFCs reduces ozone to oxygen.
