What is the basic principle of ‘Collective farming’ ?

The main principle of ‘Collective Farming’ is that a group of farmers pool together their land, livestock and labor, etc. All the members retain the ownership of these resources and once the yield is produced, it is divided among the members. This type of farming was first introduced in Soviet Union and later adopted in other soviet societies.
