The angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 1:3:5:6. Find its greatest angle.

Let the angles be x, 3x, 5x and 6x.

x + 3x + 5x + 6x = 360° (sum of angles of quadrilateral)


15x° = 360o


x° = 24o


Therefore, angles are as follows:


x° = 24o


3x° = 24o⨯ 3 = 72o


5x° = 24o⨯ 5 = 120o


6x° = 24o⨯ 6 = 144o


Hence, 144° is the greatest angle.
