The two legs of the right triangle are equal and square of its hypotenuse is 50. Find the length of each leg?

Given, hypotenuse (h) = 50

Also, the other sides are equal, let the other sides be a and a.


Using pythagoras theorem:


⇒ a2 + a2 = h2


⇒ 2a2 = 502


⇒ a2 = 25×50


⇒ a = (25×25×2)


⇒ a = 252


So, the other equal sides are of length 252 each.
