Q29 of 39 Page 91

Form a quadratic polynomial whose one of the zeroes is – 15 and sum of the zeroes is 42.

Given one of the zeroes(a) = – 15

Sum of zeroes = a + b = 42

⇒ b = 42 + 15

⇒ b = 57

So, Quadratic equation = x2 – (a + b)x + ab

⇒ x2 – 42x + (15×57)

⇒ x2 – 42x + 855
