• Great political competition and power play, hence people tend to use unfair means to get into power.

• The discussion and consultation at various levels leading to the delay in any process.

• Electoral competition tends to increase corruption.

• Many people who cast a vote are naïve and illiterate and hence unaware of basic facts that lead to choosing of the wrong person.

There is no democratic country in the world that has completely eradicated poverty, or there is no hunger. Hence democracy is no magic solution.

Democracy ensures that people are allowed to express themselves in the country, and the rights are that given to them are not violated.
