Q54 of 64 Page 37

Democracy leads to better decisions in comparison to a non-democratic form of government. Give three reasons.

Democracy could be established only when people have a greater say in the decision of the government.

In a democracy, discussion and consultation before making any decision are necessary. The decision involves many people from different fields.

So when many people have said in the decision making, the occurrence of mistakes reduces as everyone judges each other. This discussion might take time, but this discussion reduces the chances of an irresponsible decision. Hence this improves the quality of decision making.

Whereas in a nondemocratic the supreme leader of the nation has the sole authority of taking a decision. If he/she wishes then can consult the other members, whereas most of the time the decision are purely taken by them. This makes the decision lack robustness.
