“The Partition of India appeared to prove everyone in worst fears” How far do you agree with this statement?

The Partition of India in 1947 was never only a division of politics and administration but a division of people at the grass root level. Communal rioting caused immense suffering for those caught in the crossfire leading to tragic loss of lives and the prevalent way of living. This unplanned and vicious separation of communities thus caused immense sufferings on both side of the border and to this day is considered one of the most tragic moments in history.
