How did deindustrialisation take place in colonial India ?

Deindustrialization is a process of social and economic change caused by the removal or reduction of industrial activity in a region. In India, industrialization had paved the way for deindustrialisation in colonial times:

A. The emergence of machinery for the production process.

The impact of the English language has been many-sided and paradoxical in India.This is due to the following reasons:


a. English is now widely spoken in India. There are many famous literary works in English by the Indians.


b. The extensive knowledge of this language has given Indians an edge globally.


c. It was linked to social prestige and social status.


d. Although, the ability to speak and write this language is considered to be a privilege. If anybody doesn't know this language, he or she is considered to be disadvantageous in the market.
