What causes the following?

(i) Acromegaly is caused by the oversecretion of Growth Hormone during adulthood. This condition leads to extra growth of bones in the face, hands and feet and develops a large nose and thick lips.


(ii) Undersecretion of ADH from posterior pituitary causes diabetes insipidus.


Deficiency of Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH) causes diabetes insipidus in which urination is frequent and copious resulting in excess loss of water from the body and absence. A person suffering from this condition feels thirsty, frequent urination and there is a loss of water from the body.
