Check whether the following equation is quadratic or not:x 3- 6x 2+2x -1 = 0.


The equation is:x 3 – 6x 2 + 2x -1 = 0
The highest power of x is called the degree of the equation.

The degree of the equation is 3
∴ x 3 - 6x 2 + 2x -1 = 0 is not a quadratic equation.
