What is the number of union territories along the western and eastern coasts of India?

We have a long coastline which is approximately 7516 km. The west of India is bounded by the Arabian Sea and the east of India is bounded by the Bay of Bengal. The total number of Union Territories along the western coast is 3 and along the eastern coast is 2.

i. Union Territories along the western coast includes Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep.

ii. Union Territories along the eastern coast include Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar islands.

NOTE: States along the eastern coast includes Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal. States along the western coast include Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala.
