Why is the difference between the duration of day and night hardly felt in Kanyakumari but not so much in Kashmir?

Difference between duration of day and night at any place is dependent on the position of latitude with respect to the equator.

i. The nearer to the equator, the less is the difference between the duration of day and night.

ii. India lies in the Northern hemisphere.

iii. Kanyakumari’s latitudinal line is nearer to equator whereas Kashmir is far away from the equator.

iv. Difference between duration of day and night in Kanyakumari is around 45 minutes whereas the same in Kashmir is 3.5 hours.

Therefore, the difference between the duration of day and night is hardly felt in Kanyakumari but not so much in Kashmir.
