Q1 D of 35 Page 143

Answer the question briefly:

Putnam says, 'There hasn't been a school that's right for him'. Why?

Mr. Putnam’s son Freddie was a specially-abled child. It is usual for kids and teachers from other schools to either laugh or pity such children. This is not something Mr. Putnam wanted for his kid. Besides, he had accepted the fact that his son would not be able to learn and receive education like most other children did, and this is why he did not consider any school in the area right for him.
