Q2 of 35 Page 159

Answer these question very briefly

Both Putnam and Carter call Cade a 'good teacher'. In what way did Freddie need both Cade and Carter?

Both Putnam and Carter call Cade a ‘good teacher’, and this is true to an extent. Freddie, however, needed both Cade and Carter. Cade was a good teacher and was the best teacher Freddie could get in order to be ready to face the world. He was an affectionate teacher, who showed a lot of patience and care, and prepared lessons everyday for him.

On the other hand, Carter was a person who taught Freddie a lot of things while at play. Freddie found many words difficult to memorize or understand. Carter helped him understand them with the help of objects of everyday use or by sharing stories with him. It is equally important for a child to read and play and learn while doing both. This is the reason Freddie needed both Cade and Carter.
