What did Carter tell Cade before leaving? Do you agree with it?

Before leaving, Carter had a couple of words to tell to Cade. Firstly, he told him that despite being a good teacher, he was flawed in always expecting Freddie to do things for him. He was wrong in pressurizing Freddie so much.

He was no different than the parents who force their children to take music lessons only for the sake of showing off to the world. His approach towards the kid made Carter sick. He loathed the manner in which Cade tried to make Freddie do things for personal satisfaction.

Carter’s words were indeed true. Cade’s approach towards teaching Freddie was not absolutely correct, and reflected monotony. It was an approach almost all parents adopt to enforce regimes on kids, forcing them to study, not allowing them to play and so on. They are neither being themselves around their kids, nor do they let their kids remain themselves as well.
