Think of the lessons you've had in various subjects. Write an article describing the lesson you liked the most and give reasons for liking it.
As a student over about the past thirteen years of school life, we have been taught several lessons by several teachers. Some of them were pretty boring, with too many words and too many monochromatic pages to mug up from. Some of them, on the other hand, were so interesting that one still remembers them with clarity and ease. One such lesson that I can recall has to be from the History class.
The lesson on the Mughals was a particularly interesting one, where we came to know about the different battles they fought to gain power, the different artisans they patronized, the new wave of culture, music, paintings and architecture that they brought into the country along with the stories of their marriages and families.
Firstly, our teacher took us to a famous museum in the city that housed several artefacts and plaques on Mughal history. It was easier to remember and grasp facts about them after the visit. We also enjoyed watching a few documentaries and very interesting video lectures on their times and deeds.
Besides, our teacher arranged for a short trip to some nearby monuments of the Mughal era, and it was interesting to see the architectural elements we had studied about up close. History was no longer about forceful cramming, but about learning from what we saw. This was the reason I liked this lesson the most so far.
