Mendel published his work on inheritance of characters in 1865, but it remained unrecognized till 1900. Give three reasons for the delay in accepting his work.




• Colourblind is a sex linked disease and the gene of this disease is present on X-chromosome.


• Here if parents are normal for colourblind then the female parent should be carrier of colourblind and male parent should be normal.


• Then after the cross we get colourblind male as shown in cross.
