Q21 of 149 Page 14

Find the circumcentre of the triangle whose vertices are (-2, -3), (- 1, 0), (7, - 6).

Vertices of triangle are A(-2, -3), B(- 1, 0), C(7, - 6)

Let the coordinates of P are (x, y)

PA = PB =PC

PA = PB

On squaring both sides, we get

…………(1)

PA = PC

On squaring both sides, we get

…………(2)

On solving equations (1) & (2), We get

X = 3 and y = -3

Therefore coordinates are (3, -3)
