Given,


p2 + 6p + 8


Now first find the numbers whose-


Sum = 6 and


Product = 8


Required numbers are 4 and 2,


So we get;


p2 + 6p + 8


= p2 + 4p + 2p + 8


= p(p + 4) + 2(p + 4)


= (p + 4)(p + 2)
