The line segment joining A(– 2, 9) and B(6, 3) is a diameter of a circle with centre C. Find the coordinates of C.

X = (m1x2 + m2x1)/ m1 + m2


= (1 × 6 + 1x (– 2)/1 + 1


= (6 – 2) /2


= 4/2 = 2


Y = (m1y2 + m2y1)/ m1 + m2


= (1x 3 + 1x 9)/2


= (3 + 9)/2


= 12 / 2 = 6
