The length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 4m. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 84 m. Find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

Let the breath of rectangle be x, length is x + 4


Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)


where, l = length of rectangle, b = breadth of rectangle


84 = 2(x + 4 + x)


42 = 2 x + 4


x = 19


So, the breadth of the rectangle is 19 m and length is 23 m
