One side of a right-angled triangular scarf is 80 cm and its longest side is 1m. Find its cost at the rate of Rs 250 per m2.

Given sides: AC = 1m and AB = 80cm


1m = 100cm


The longest side is the hypotenuse of the triangle


Now using Pythagoras theorem to find the third side


AC2 = AB2 + BC2


1 = (0.8)2 + BC2


BC2 = 1 - 0.64


BC2 = 0.36


BC = 0.6 m
