The base of a parallelogram is twice its height. If its area is 512 cm2. Find the base and the height.

Given:


Area of Parallelogram = 512 cm2


Formula Used:


Area of Parallelogram = base × height


Let height be x cm, then the base = 2 x cm


Area of Parallelogram = base × height


512 = (x) × (2 x)


2 x2 = 512


x2 = 256


x = 16 cm


Height is 16 cm and the base is 32 cm.
