An athlete runs around a circular park 10 times. If the diameter of the park is 280 m. Find the distance covered by the athlete in km.

Given:

Diameter of park = 280 m

Radius = 140 m

Distance traveled = 10 × circumference of the circle

The Circumference of the circle = 2πr

The Circumference of the Circle = 2 × 3.14 × 140 = 879.645 m

Total distance traveled = 10 × 879.645 = 8796.45m

1 km = 1000 m

So,
