Apply Division Algorithm to find the quotient q(x) and remainder r(x) on dividing p(x) by g(x) as given below:

p(x) = x3 – 3x2 + 5x – 3, g(x) = x2 – 2


p(x) = x3 – 3x2 + 5x – 3, g(x) = x2 – 2


Dividend = x3 – 3x2 + 5x – 3,


Divisor = x2 – 2


On applying division algorithm, we get,



q(x) = x – 3


r(x) = 7x – 9
