‘‘The Royal Centre of Vijayanagara had a distinctive layout.’’ Cite evidences to prove the statement.

The Royal Center of Vijayanagara was located on the south-western part of the settlement. The rulers of Vijayanagara had build 60 temples in this royal centre, probably for legitimize their rule by the association of divinities housed in the shrines. There were thirty complexes exactly like palaces and was relatively without any association to the divinities and their rituals. The difference between the complexes and temples was that the latter was made of masonry and the superstructure of the secular buildings was made of perishable materials.
