Explanation: Plasmolysis is the condition of the cell where its contents is shrunken due to exosmosis when it was kept in a hypertonic solution. The revival of the cell from the plasmolysed state to the turgid state when the cell is again transferred to a hypotonic or isotonic solution is known as deplasmolysis.


(b) Guttation is another name for bleeding in plants. : False


Explanation: Guttation is the loss of water through special structures known as hydathodes present in the margin of leaves of certain plants whereas bleeding is the loss of sap from any cut surface on a plant tissue of any plants.

Explanation: When the seeds are soaked in water after certain time their seed coat bursts out this is due to the excessive turgor pressure applied by its contents on the coat due to endosmosis of water.
